Introduction
Advents are very important in media because they are the main and seemingly the only way that you can promote and show of your product because with a memorable advert your product will get known as well as show it of to the public and to ensure that people see it and would end up buying your Product it is the only way to get your product know and to make sales but it is very important that your advert is unique and memorable.

Section 1

Outline the target audience for each advert and describe the plot or narrative of each advert. What are the similarities and differences?

i believe that the main target audience for this advert is small children that are aged between 8 to probably 13/14 i would think it is there to make them think that they could be the pilot of that x wing and that they are the storm trooper landing ready for battle 

in the first advert which is the lego one it is aimed towards 8 to 12 year old because they are the ones that are going to stair and go wow i want that which is why it is aimed at it the plot as far as they go is to show the toy being built showing of the main aspect and ideas behind lego leading in to the set being finished which then goes into them being shown of for them to be used showing of there uniqueness and there action features leading into them leaking into the child mind wanting them to buy it so they can be the driver or pilot of the vehicle shown.

where as in the other advert which is the gi joe one this show not a lot due to them not needing them to built but for narrative they are shown to have been used in the environment which is meant to be in such as a snow vehicle belong in the snow but they are mixed in with animation and scenes from the cartoon to give a scene setting and theme as well as there is the end where it show of what i can do and give a story around the characters and what they are ending with the product in an action pose with a 360 view with the product and is packaging

the main similarity's are the both show the product as well as everything it can do and what you get if you purchase but as far as differences there are some where in the gi joe one it shows them in a real life environment such as skiing down a snow mound or running through the jungle where as the lego one is shown in front of a greens screen and on a stary background rather then the realistic nature of gi joe

Section 2


Describe the mise-en-scene of each advert. Explain and compare the impact of these on the audience (i.e. explain why these colours, props, settings, etc are chosen and what that communicates to the audience)

in the lego one is shows a lot of color which is the same for the gi joe making them eye catching as well as there are some other features such as props in the lego one some of the original adverts had the product being built on a hologram table and in later adverts there are some cases of where setting is used to give a backstory and setting to where something takes placed such as planets are used to display where the vehicle is shown with in the in film universe

as well as in the gi joe advert there is a lot of color showing that it is a fun and enjoyable toy which makes the advert very eye catching as well as this is a very colorful and interesting due to the toy but there is also the setting which is the location which this is set up in which is different to most old adverts the setting is real life such as in your garden which is good because it shows realism and making buy more because they want to recreate it selling more toys

Section 3


Explain and compare how the sounds are used in each advert and the impact they have on the viewer.

fro sounds in these advert they are very similar compared to each other because the only difference that i can tell is the main theme tunes and that is only there because the toys are based around different TV series and films which i think is the only difference but i think that the only other thing that are similar are the music which is always in the background which is normally the them tune to the main tune to the franchise that the toy is based around but the only other thing is that there is a lot of different children sound exited and energetic towards the toy and for the lego there is the sound of the bricks being put together and some of the sound that are normally relevant to the toy that is being shown on screen 

Section 4

Explain the one or two of the content signs in each advert and outline what connotations these signs might have for the viewer. (do not repeat yourself – if you have already discussed the city settings when writing about mise-en-scene, do not cover it again – choose something else to discuss).

(how editing is used)

editing is used differently in these advert typically the shots are very different because the shots with in these the shots are very long rather than quick cuts to show action but in these they are very long more than likely these are meant to be used to show  the product in a lot of detail rather than to just cut over it this is shown through the shot types because the shot types are normally mid / long shots to show the toy in all of its detail to give the audience the best view of the toy and how it is used so that the shots are normally quite quick to show that the toy is action packed and exiting but then becomes long when we focus on the toy being used to help promote and show of  the toy in its entirety as well as the music is very well used due to how loud it is because it help grab your attention because they are both very recognizable pieces of music from very well known film and TV franchises which is good because it grabs attention and then sells the toys.

Describe the different shot types used in each advert, explaining what effect these positioning signs have on the audience. (you could write one paragraph for each type of shot you discuss, rather that one long paragraph)

the shot types that are typically used are normally long shots or close ups of the set being built
which is smart because it shows all of the main components of lego with close ups is shows the uniqueness of lego and the fun and creativity of the toy being built and used the long shots are typically used so that you can see all of the action features such as flying ti or loading the weapons show the whole toy in its entirety helps to sell and show of the toy when you use long shots because it help the audience see the product and convince them to buy it by giving them a full view and showing all of the feature of the toy

Explain the main advertising techniques used by the advertiser in each advert and the effect these have. (Again, you could change paragraphs each time you discuss a different technique or effect.)



Conclusion

In your conclusion you should:
·         Sum up the way in which the two advertiser sell their products
·         Draw together your comparisons by highlighting key similarities and differences
·         Explain which advert you think is most effective and way.


      In conclusion both of these advert had these advert have very similar advert selling techniques which are very good and all of them help sell the toy and in bead it in someones mind due to music and editing techniques in comparison they both use editing and shot types as well as how they use music but in conclusion i think that the Lego advert is more effective personally because the music is more iconic event though he gi joe is more realistic i believe that they are more entertaining and realistic as well as i think that the Lego advert is more engaging and because it shows you all of the action feature and all of the great element of the brand Lego its self rather than just showing the toy go through an area in my own opinion but i believe that they are both great advert that help these toy being some of the most collected toys of all time.


      Advertisement techniques
      An advertisement using ethos will try to convince you that there product is credible as possible
   
     Pathos  :an appeal to an emotion response an emotion from someone usinfgemotion from view to spend there money or to take part in this
      an advertisement using photos will attempt to evoke an emotional response in they consumer sometime it is a positive emotion
      other times adverts will use negative emotions such as pain and guilt which are used commonly during the late evening when every one is at home eating your dinner   
     Logos : an appeal to logic and reason an advert using logos will give you the evidence and statistics you need to fully understand what the product does 




   
Avante Garde
The suggestion that using this product puts the user ahead of the times. A toy manufacturer encourages kids to be the first on their block to have a new toy.

GI Joe is very simple lie this because in every advert there show the best new toys full of color because they want them to sell these advert make kids want to buy them because they want them to seem a very cool colorful and action packed toy full of fun making kids want to rush down to the toy shop to buy these and be the first one to own them due to how good they make them look in the advert

Weasel Words
“Weasel words” are used to suggest a positive meaning without actually really making any guarantee. A scientist says that a diet product might help you to lose weight the way it helped him to lose weight. A dish soap leaves dishes virtually spotless.

this is something that i would probably use during my advert by using emotive language which makes it sound better and exiting such as ( exiting fun entertaining courageous) to make my product exiting and fun and entertaining which is what these adverts do to make you think a lot more about the advert and what you could feel if you brought one .

Magic Ingredients
The suggestion that some almost miraculous discovery makes the product exceptionally effective. A pharmaceutical manufacturer describes a special coating that makes their pain reliever less irritating to the stomach than a competitor’s

these advert do this very well when you see this advert it make you think that they are very good and a lot better which makes it become a lot better of a product which make them think that this is the best one and these make the product seem like it is very magical as well as this makes it a lot better and them seaming like there is the best product i would probably use this when i interpenetrate this towards my own product which i would use these techniques and make it seam like some of the feature of my product are not like any other product on the market

Transfer
Positive words, images, and ideas are used to suggest that the product being sold is also positive. A textile manufacturer wanting people to wear their product to stay cool during the summer shows people wearing fashions made from their cloth at a sunny seaside setting where there is a cool breeze.

this would probably be used toward mine in a way that is not normal because i think that mine would be like this where the images would be playing around in the garden showing that it belongs in the buyers house as well as i believe that color is a big part of it and this helps set the tone and theme of this product and in a lot of these the product is a big thing so for this advert it is a bright colors yellows and blues this is key thing in the image which relates to mine because the image would be full of bright colors as well as the image would be bright making it more appealing because a colorful image is better than a gloomy grey and black image

Plain Folks
The suggestion that the product is a practical product of good value for ordinary people. A cereal manufacturer shows an ordinary family sitting down to breakfast and enjoying their product.


this one appeals to me very much and one of the one that i will focus on because i want my product to seam like a playable and practical piece which it is and that is the thing that i what it to come across as as something that you would want to have at home and play with so that when parents and kids see the think that i want it and that it is a sensible yet fun product that is usable at home and that you could happily and would be easy to use and i want it to seem like a usable and worth while product for the child to have and play with and this is smart because it makes the parents think that they could have a practical and fun product

this is the sort of thing that i want mine but i want it a lot more bright and colorful and i want it to show like this and i want it to be like this by the way that it shows a worth while product being shown of and used 

Snob Appeal
The suggestion that the use of the product makes the customer part of an elite group with a luxurious and glamorous lifestyle. A coffee manufacturer shows people dressed in formal gowns and tuxedos drinking their brand at an art gallery.

this apply to me in some ways because this could effect me due to some of the rarity price as well as size of some the products that we have which this is important because what we have could be one of these and if advertised well would appeal to a certain group making it even rarer but making it important and nice

these are all very important things that are good and i would focus and show case some of them winch are good and nice helping me improve the product as well as the advert

this Is a review of the lego adverts form the 80s which my product and ending advert will be based around

I found this which shows that the large majority Is in favour that the lego adverts are some of the more memorable and nostalgic

as well as I found a large amount of reviews of the set through out youtube an d I saw that the large majority of the were positive and enthusiastic with the entire theme and how they ended up from unbuilt to built and I can tell that these are reliable because the answer and responses are all the same showing support and find words towards the set and theme And while Lego also competes with the rest of the toy industry - it

in the add I want to show that lego is fun and gasps children and wanting that they are takin up these measure time and that is what Michal Moore is doing by grabbing your attention n making you want Mohave fn with lego by showing them having fun recreating it in there minds due and proven through this quote

aslo there could be more reliability due to the fact atet a lot of these reviews have a lot of experience and a very large fan base so that they could have a more proven and reliable option and idea that is represented towards there fan base
